Description

The CandiArt Bespoke stretch canvases are manufactured locally.  They are  ideal for students as well as the experienced artist.  All our canvases are synthetic, and come with a 2cm frame depth.  The synthetic coating ensures that the canvas is less absorbent and helps the colours to stand out and also privies a smoother surface with enough “tooth” for the paint to bind onto.  Our frames are made in a factory using a medium-density fibreboard topped with a layer of a veneer wood and coated.  The canvas is then individually stretched by hand with folded corners.  The inner edges of the frame have a bevelled edge and are placed at a 45 degree angle to ensure the canvas surface does not touch the frame.  They are suitable for acrylic, watercolours and oil painting.  They are available in various sizes and shapes.
