Epoxy Homeware – Coasters
R600 ± 2hrs (16 years and older)
This workshop is a treat for the homeware lovers! Please join us at CandiArt Studios and create your very own personalised, homeware set of 6 coasters. Creating your very own striking epoxy design.
In this workshop you will be provided with 6 wooden coasters (10cm) to create your very own epoxy coasters. You will learn the techniques involved to master your creative flair. Resin art is a relatively new art form – using a two-part art epoxy, and a huge range of beautiful colours and pigments. We guide you step by step through the process to give you all the tips and tricks to create your very own unique resin artwork.
Additional items may be purchased on the day of the workshop.
Due to the curing time of Epoxy, as well as the weather conditions, your coasters can take up to a day or two to dry. You will have to leave your artwork in a flat level position at our studio and arrange to collect your artwork at a later date. Remember, just because it is dry to the touch does not mean that it is fully cured. Once the coasters have cured CandiArt will add a personalised protective cork backing to your coasters.
Care Instructions for your Coasters: The two-part epoxy is heat resistant up to 70˚C. Your coasters will NOT be dishwasher safe. Wipe clean with a damp cloth on the Epoxy surface. Do NOT place items directly from the oven or microwave onto the coasters, as the epoxy will potentially soften and or liquify.
This is a messy art form that you will love! Please make sure you wear clothes that you are happy to get a dash/splash of epoxy on.
