An example of a design you will learn
Additional items may be purchased on the day of the workshop.
You will explore the fun and very addictive techniques of ‘clean pour’, ‘dirty pour’, ‘flip cup’; just to name a few. This workshop is suitable for all levels and artists.
Due to the amount of acrylic paint used in the fluid art process, as well as the weather conditions, your placemats can take up to a week to dry. You will have to leave your artwork in a flat level position at our studio and arrange to collect your artwork at a later date. Remember, just because it is dry to the touch does not mean that it is fully cured. Once the placemats have cured CandiArt will seal the placemats with a layer of Epoxy for you, which is heat resistant up to 70˚C, as well as add a personalised protective cork backing to your placemats.
Care Instructions for your Placemats: Your placemats will NOT be dishwasher safe. Wipe clean with a damp cloth on the Epoxy surface. Do NOT place items directly from the oven or microwave onto the placemats, as the epoxy and acrylic paint will potentially soften and or liquify.
This is a messy art form that you will love! Please make sure you wear clothes that you are happy to get a dash/splash of paint on.
